Earlier this week, the 4th-6th graders at our school took a field trip to Ledge View Nature Center right here in Chilton to visit the caves. We are learning about the different kinds of rocks in science class, so this discussion of geology our guide gave us on our field trip fit right in. We weren't able to crawl through all the passages in the caves due to the melting snow from our recent late spring blizzard, but the ones we were able to go inside were pretty cool! We got very wet and muddy but it was definitely worth it. We learned so much and had a blast at the same time! I didn't take too many pictures for the afternoon, but I did take a nice class picture before and after going in the caves. I managed to snap one shot of a few 4th graders inside the cave, too. Our field trip was an experience to remember!
Here you will find a collection of recent class projects, pictures, and news about a variety of subject areas across the curriculum. Check back often to see all the great things we've been working on in 4th grade!
